A look back at Round Three
As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been looking back at the 4 kits I created for theStudio’s Next Designer Contest. I’ve already shown you the first 2. The 3rd kit is called A King’s Bounty.

This was definitely my LEAST favorite kit but probably the one I learned the most from. First, check, double check, triple check, then check again on the quality of your elements especially look for those 72 dpi gremlins that I kept running into and hopefully have eradicated from my QA scripts.

I just took a look at how many of you have registered for this site … over 400!!! As a friend of mine used to say … I’m gobsmacked!!!!
Then, silly me, I compared it to the number of “Likes” I have on my Facebook page (only 62). Now I must admit, the only reason I ever started doing ANYTHING on Facebook was because my kids badgered me into it. However, I would LOVE it if you could take the time to “Like” me over there as well (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jilberts-bits-of-bytes/168246813315756). It’s really not a big thing … to me, the number of registered users here is MUCH more important … but some folks seem to see otherwise.
I do promise to learn how to make freebies available there too … a reward for all of you who take the time to click that little “Like” button. BUT, if you think this is a stupid, silly, or otherwise request … let me know and/or feel free to ignore it.
HUGS!!! Jill

Well, I’ve done something rather rash … I signed up for another designer contest. The first time I did this was back in September when I was part of theStudio’s Next Designer Contest. I made it all the way through round 3 before I was cut … although I did win the Play-along which had the fantastic prize (Ambowife’s entire CU store … for a year!!!).
The current contest is Stuff to Scraps’ Designer Darling … in fact they’re still taking sign-ups if anyone is interested. The funny thing is, I’m not sure if I really want to be in the designing “business” … at least not yet. However, I do look at contests like these as a perfect way to hone my skills if I ever change my mind.
In getting prepared for all this, I decided to look back at what I did in September and make those kits available to you. True to form, they will be doled out over the next week. The Round 1 mini kit called Celestial Moonlight I’ve already posted and it can be downloaded on the original post’s page.
My Round 2 kit was called Under the Harvest Moon. Do you sense a theme? Yes, the contest did indeed have a theme — the Moon.
