The new month comes with a new collection. The story behind this collection is my youngest daughter’s laugh. It’s an amazing laugh and when she REALLY starts laughing there isn’t a person around that can’t laugh with her. The term “in stitches” (laughing uncontrollable) comes close to describing it. Unfortunately, I found myself in a quandary on how to capture that laugh in a collection. Since a bunch of laughing faces/mouths gets kind of boring after a while, I decided to go with the more literal meaning of stitches … sewing … saving the laughter part for my Words pack. That means this collection is perfect for capturing both the sewing theme along with the moment you capture someone In Stitches.
The entire collection is on sale for 30% off at both theStudio and my personal store. Let’s take a look at it and be sure to hang around until the end to collect your freebie.
And now for your freebie … as always, just click on the preview.
That’s it for now … fingers crossed that I keep on this roll and get more done. HUGS!!!
I’ve been really bad about posting … but I didn’t realize it had been SO long. But hopefully I’m back and will be a bit more faithful at doing it. Today is just a quick note to let you know that my retirement sale (just products, not me) is ending tomorrow. I’ve got several PU and CU products in the sale, but I also have some stellar Collabs, that I did with some very talented designers, retiring and they can be a bit hard to find, so I’m going to show you the previews. All you have to do is click on the previews and you’ll be transported to the collection.
You’ll need to act quickly to snap these up, but you’ll get them at 75% off.
And that’s it for today … HUGS!!!
I am SO excited about my newest collection. When I saw the bear, I just had to use it immediately. I have no idea why polar bears remind me of Christmas … they just do. The majority of the elements are hand painted … some by me but others were purchased from some wonderful artists. The thing that’s great about this collection is that it’s not just for Christmas … you can use it for just about any of your winter layouts. Enough talking, let’s take a look at it and remember to get ALL the way to the end for your freebie.
Remember the papers and elements that I did for theStudio’s Next Designers Competition? Well, I couldn’t stop designing and it turned into a collection. However, I did do something a bit different this time. Since I knew some folks had been able to download the initial pieces for free, I decided to combine those pieces and call them Mini Kit 1 and created a second mini that I called Mini Kit 2. Then I went on to round things out with borders, clusters, masks, stamps and words. You can find everything at theStudio and my personal store Jilbert’s Bits of Bytes for 30% off (bundle is 60% off) thru November 26th.
Here’s a look at everything … and be sure to hang around for your freebie.
Every year, theStudio has an Annual Next Designer Competition. In 2012, not knowing any better, I entered it and, while I didn’t win, it was the start of a new career for me. In years since, I’ve tried my best to “play along” … and this year is no exception even though I really didn’t have the time (busy schedule, as in wedding, and I have a cold *whine*).
The first week’s challenge was designing a pack of papers and this week’s challenge was to design some elements to go along with them. You need to go to my gallery pages at theStudio to download them (just click on the previews below) and, while you’re there, take a look at all the wonderful entries that you can download for free through the end of the month. BUT, before you go, be sure to read to the end of my post for the conclusion of this story and a freebie.
So much going on this weekend, but I’ll try to keep this short. To start, this grab bag is what happens when 3 good buddies get together and create a Grab Bag. We each did 2 products containing what we thought most represented our CU styles and have put it on sale for $6. Full reveals are on the product pages. You can get this at both theStudio and Jilbert’s Bits of Bytes.
There are also some $1 Flash Sales happening this weekend. DSS has broken it into 2 days — Friday and Saturday … but at Jilbert’s Bits of Bytes the whole batch is available and you can get them thru Sunday, October 2nd. Here’s a peek at what you’ll find …
Yesterday, I showed off my newest collection City by the Bay. However, I’ve often been told that seeing how one would scrap with it is SO much better than just seeing previews. So here’s some inspiration for you from my amazing team.
… and one more from me.
Do you have a layout you’d like to share with me? Feel free to post it to my Facebook page or just use the tag #JilbertsBitsOfBytes and hopefully I’ll find it.
Have you ever gotten a song in your head that you can’t get rid of? Guess what song was in my head — Lights by Journey. Since I was trying to come up with an idea for a new collection, I decided to take advantage of the situation. Thus, City by the Bay was born.
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and I still live here. I spent a ton of time in the city as a teenager and young adult, but for some reason, when the kids came along, it sort of lost its luster. When the kids grew up and moved away, they would come home and insist on playing tourist … guess who the tour guides were.
Where am I going with this? Playing tour guide reminded me the beauty and charm of San Francisco that I had forgotten about … and I wanted to share it with you. Hopefully I’ve hit all the spots you’ve been wanting to visit, but if you’ve never visited, City by the Bay will work for other cities as well. You can get this collection at both theStudio and Jilbert’s Bits of Bytes for 30% off thru September 17th. Come, take a look at all the goodies and be sure to read ALL the way to the end so you can download your freebie.
It’s been a while, but after taking most of July off, I’m finally getting back into the swing of things … as in having a brand new collection called Lakeside.
I’m lucky … I live about 30 minutes from the beach (not that I would swim at that beach). For those that know how much I love Hawaii, you might be surprised to find out that I don’t go there for the beaches. Yes, the beaches are gorgeous, but I love the rain forests and other inland stuff. When I go to the beach, I get sunburned (even when using sunscreen). I prefer to get my beach fix by sitting by the side of a lake, in the shade. I might even get in some hiking (if there’s enough shade along the path). This sort of thing was my inspiration for Lakeside. While it’s perfect for camping kinds of themes, my team found it worked great for just about any vacation kind of layout. But don’t take my word for it, judge for yourself.
Lakeside is available at both theStudio and Jilbert’s Bits of Bytes for 30% off through 8/20th but, if you buy the entire collection, it’s 60% off. Here’s a look at it …
I had someone run across a very old post on this blog that was about a mini kit I had done for a designer competition YEARS ago called Southwestern Venture. She wanted to buy it … I wasn’t so sure it was ready for prime time and I was right. However, once I started going through things, I began coming up with tons of ideas that I could use to turn it into a full size collection. You see, I used to spend a lot of time in New Mexico (Albuquerque in particular) because of my previous job, so the ideas were definitely there. Also, having someone on my team who lives in New Mexico made me confident enough to give myself the go-ahead to start working on it.
Well now it’s ready for prime time and is available in my shops at theStudio and Jilbert’s Bits of Bytes for 30% off. Here a look at it —
