Note About My Gesso Products

Posted by on Aug 10, 2016 in Commercial Use, Scrapbooking | 4 comments

I wanted to let you all know that I’ve decided to confuse you when it comes to my Gesso products. When I first started making the overlays, I had NO idea how popular they would become. I also didn’t know which format (transparent or textured) was the best. I started with 2 overlays and saved them as both PNG and JPG. That became my Vol. 1 bundle. I did the same thing for 2 more overlays. That meant I had Gesso 1, 2, 3, and 4 transparent/texture overlays. Bear with me … I’m getting there.

After the first 2 bundles, I decided to only do the PNG format (it seemed to be the more popular one). Unfortunately, when I went to number the next 2 packs, I called them 3 and 4. Don’t know what I was thinking, but that’s what I did (I claim a senior moment). I did 2 more packs with the numbers 5 and 6 … and that’s when I realized I had duplicated 2 version numbers. Having no idea what to do, because I didn’t want to confuse my wonderful customers, I just ignored the problem … for a while.

Those who know me well, know that I’m overly picky about how I name and version my stuff. Ignoring the problem wasn’t going to work … it kept eating at me. SO … I finally bit the bullet and decided to fix things. Since the last 4 versions (3, 4, 5, 6) were actually pieces of gesso done large enough to fill an entire page, I decided to call them “Gesso Bits” … which mean redoing the previews and renumber stuff. Long story short, this is how things got renamed —

Gesso 3 (the second one) -> Gesso Bits 3
Gesso 4 (the second one) -> Gesso Bits 4
Gesso 5 (the original one) -> Gesso Bits 2
Gesso 6 (the original one) -> Gesso Bits 1
Gesso 7 (the grab bag one) -> Gesso 5

I’m MUCH happier now and I’m really sorry if I’ve confused any of you or muddled up your filing system. I’ll try to behave myself in the future.

Southwestern Venture

Posted by on Jun 6, 2016 in Freebies, Personal Use, Scrapbooking | 1 comment

I had someone run across a very old post on this blog that was about a mini kit I had done for a designer competition YEARS ago called Southwestern Venture. She wanted to buy it … I wasn’t so sure it was ready for prime time and I was right. However, once I started going through things, I began coming up with tons of ideas that I could use to turn it into a full size collection. You see, I used to spend a lot of time in New Mexico (Albuquerque in particular) because of my previous job, so the ideas were definitely there. Also, having someone on my team who lives in New Mexico made me confident enough to give myself the go-ahead to start working on it.

Well now it’s ready for prime time and is available in my shops at theStudio and Jilbert’s Bits of Bytes for 30% off. Here a look at it —

Just in Time for Memorial Day

Posted by on May 21, 2016 in Personal Use, Scrapbooking | 0 comments

Releasing today, just in time for Memorial Day in the states, I have a new pack of mixed media papers and some collage bits. They are available at both theStudio and my personal store. I had hoped to make a complete collection along this theme, but my neck wouldn’t let me. However, as my team found out, it coordinates well with my Remember Collection. The Collage Bits 8, Mixed Media Papers 2, and the Remember products are on sale thru May 29th for 30% off (excludes the bundle which is already 60% off). Here’s a look at the previews and some of the layouts the ladies made —

That’s it for today … quick and short. HUGS!!!

What, in you, triggers a memory? Is it a brief glance at something familiar? Is it a scent? Is it a time of year? We so often loose precious memories because we fail to record them. As scrappers, we attempt to avoid that with our pages. My Memories Collection is just the thing to record those memories.

I’m a bit tardy in posting this. I’ve been a bit out of commission due to a pinched nerve in my neck and am just now getting back up to speed. I released this collection a week ago and typically only keep new releases on sale for 1 week. However, I’ve extended the 30% sale for an additional week (thru May 29th). Here’s a look at my Memories Collection along with a freebie —

iNSD News for May 4th

Posted by on May 4, 2016 in Sales, Scrapbooking | 5 comments

I don’t know about you, but my life has been pure chaos lately. Between vacations and special birthdays (Nana turned 90 this year) and anniversaries, I’ve hardly had time to get my act together for iNSD this year. Fortunately, I did find the time … unfortunately it meant I had to be a bit of a hermit (as in rather quiet). Hopefully, you’ll forgive me once you see what all I have for you. There’s going to be a ton of sales and information, so, rather than overwhelm you (like I just did my newsletter subscribers), I’m going to spread my posts out a bit. However, that means you’ll need to check back daily to see what’s up. For today’s post, I’m only going to tell you the relevant iNSD News for May 4th (as in starts today or only lasts thru today).

50% Storewide Sale

In my personal store (Jilbert’s Bits of Bytes), everything is 50% off (excluding specially priced products). This will run thru Saturday, May 14th. Be sure to check today’s newsletter for some coupons that will give you an additional discount.

CU Grab Bags

I LOVE grab bags … not only buying them, but also making them. This year I have 2 for you: a new mixed-media one done in collaboration with Mariella of Studio Laitha and one I did on my own. The Mixed Media Grab Bag contains 6 products and is $6 and my iNSD 2016 Grab Bag contains 5 products for $5. I’m only showing you the grab bag previews here. If you want to see what’s actually in the bags, please visit the product page.

You can find these grab bags at theStudio and Jilbert’s Bits of Bytes thru May 14th.

May the 4th be with You

This title cracked me up, as did the banner!!! Since it’s only for May 4th, it really fits.

The new store software at theStudio allows us to create special deals when specific products are bought together. We take a lead-in product and can link up additional products to it, then set a special price. So, for May the 4th, we followed the “4” theme and created bundles of 4 products. For my sale, I bundled up my Art Nouveau Papers with my Collage Bits 5, 6 and 7. You can get all 4 of these for only $4. Getting this deal takes a bit of getting used to though, but I’m going to explain how it works. It’s easy once you know how.

Go to my Art Nouveau Papers page, then scroll down to where you see the description box and click on the Buy Together tab.

A new panel will open showing you the bundled products and the price for the bundle. Just click the Add All to Cart button to purchase them.

One thing to note is that you can’t purchase these individually for $1 each and you can ONLY find this special on the “lead-in” product page (in my case, it’s the Art Nouveau Papers). This deal is only available at theStudio.

Freebie Time

Finally, to start this celebration off right, I’ve got a freebie for you. It’s a set of Art Nouveau Frames … actually, it’s one frame done in 3 colors that coordinate with my Art Nouveau Papers. Just click on the preview to download it.

That’s it for today. Like I said, be sure to check back daily for more news about sales and theStudio Blog Hop (you’re really going to love this one). HUGS!!!
